Driving the digital twin conversation during the global lockdown
When the world went into lockdown in 2020, I created the House of Digital Twins club on Clubhouse to keep the dialogue on digital transformation in the built environment alive.
Over 2020–2021, we:
- Hosted 50 sessions across 4 languages: English, Italian, French and German
- Grew a global community of 780 members
- Featured 100+ expert speakers and contributors
- Shared thousands of years of combined industry knowledge
Key learnings from the House of Digital Twins experience
- Collaboration matters: multi-disciplinary voices drive innovation.
- Language diversity accelerates adoption: local context is critical for global change.
- Practical use cases win attention: real-world examples outweigh theory.
- Community builds trust: open discussions foster confidence in emerging technology.
These sessions explored how digital twins can transform the design, construction and operation of our built environment, delivering better outcomes for sustainability, cost efficiency and performance.
